About the event
Formed in 2017 in Preston, Lancashire, The Amber List’s sound is a classic indie guitar driven one, peppered with harmonic interludes and touched with atmospherics. If looking for a frame of reference think Echo and the Bunnymen and the La’s, crossed with Doves and a helping of The Smiths. Their northwest routes certainly shine through.
The band recently began performing intimate acoustic shows to much acclaim and a live ‘unplugged’ ep entitled Quiet in the Library is due for imminent digital release.
All members of the band have flirted with the limelight, with previous releases on Virgin and Action records and supporting the likes of The Stone Roses, Gene, Hard-fi, The Saw Doctors, The Cleaners from Venus and Bronski Beat to name a few.
With several highly acclaimed eps under their belt and a debut album on permanent rotation on many indie stations The Amber List make serious music for discerning listeners.
